

Happy Thanksgiving
I spent Sunday afternoon thumbing through the cookbooks I inherited from my grandmother. One of her favorite chefs was Helen Corbitt. Originally from New Jersey, Helen ended up spending forty years cooking in Texas. One journalist from a 1999 Texas Monthly article said "She delivered Texans from canned fruit cocktail and turned black eyed peas into Texas Cavier."
